Mary is passionate about
chiropractic and how it can benefit you.
Her first degree was in Neuromusculoskeletal sciences Bsc (Hons), after which she graduated from the Anglo
European College of Chiropractic with a Masters degree in Chiropractic. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, the British Chiropractic Association and the United Chiropractic Association.
Babies and Children
college Mary was co-founder of the paediatric club. Upon graduating she worked
in the UK before settling on the Isle of Man where she has developed her skills
with children and pregnant mothers with the International Chiropractic
Paediatric Association. With special interests preconception, pregnancy and latch difficulties and tongue tie issues in infants and diastasis rectus in both children and adults. The techniques used with children and babies are gentle, low force.
Pre conception and pregnancy can be a fraught time with lots of contradictory advice. Our bodies change during pregnancy as the foetus grows, spinal curves are exaggerated and the hormone relaxin can cause joints to become more unstable and prone to straining.
Chiropractic can help keep you moving during all these changes.
Currently the clinic is undertaking research on the effect of pain on lifestyle during pregnancy, to participate please mention when you book in.
Mary is also trained in the Webster Technique which optimising foetal positioning.
Mary holds the ICCSP ( internation sports chiropractic qualification) which allows her to work all over the world at elite sporting events. She is committed to promote excellence in
education and practice in sports chiropractic worldwide. Ev Chiro Clinic supports
some of our local athletes who compete to world standard and assists a local
athletics club to help reduce injuries specifically with children. Having worked with the British Masters Athletics Team she also utilises dry needling, K-IASTM techniques and
Mary believes prevention is
better than cure and in line with her philosophy lives an active lifestyle and
uses nutrition as an essential part of optimum health.
Doctor of Chiropractic
Suzhannah (Sukie) Davies graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1982 and has been a member of the British Chiropractic Association since then. She worked in Bournemouth, York and Stroud before following her husband to the Island in 1999.
She has her primary practice in Castletown and joins us part-time in our Douglas clinic. Intergrating traditional Gonsted and Diversified techniques low force arthostim, dry needling and IASTM tool techniques.
Sukie approaches the body as a whole. Using alignment and body mechanics to improve recovery and reduce reoccurrance of symptoms.
Sukie leads an active life; an avid gardener, cyclist, skier, walker, ringing the bell at Apemann and touring Europe on her motorcyle amoungst other things.
